So... basically this teenager was kidnapped. his father was left notes and phone calls to drop $ off at various drop points. but he is being helped by the police. they eventually find the kidnappers but the kid is killed.
this case really bothers me because he was soo close to being rescued. can't remember if the kidnapper's had something against the Dad or not. I also remember it was a really suspenseful epi. like a good mini movie. |

I'm almost certain that they case is Kyle McElroy. He was kidnapped in 2000 and was later murdered. All but one of the people involved in the kidnapping and murder were caught. The one that remained at large was Desiree Dawn Lingo Perkins.
In 2004, Perkins was arrested in Mexico and was found guilty of Kyle's murder. She is now serving a life sentence. I agree that it was very sad that they were rather close to getting Kyle when he was then murdered . It's just good that she was caught.
