Cool

Even though there is a storyline or two left unresolved and people will be out of jobs I think think "Two and a Half Men" should could to an end immediately.

I don't have a dog in this fight (I'm not a fan of the show, at all), but I'd really like to see CBS and Warner Bros. do the right thing: fire Sheen and cancel the show. As I said in a previous thread, it would be horrible for crew members who need the paycheck. But at the same time, cancelling the number one sitcom on television over the outrageous and inexcusable antics of its star would send a message, and hopefully set a precedent

As far as the show goes, would it be so bad if it ended? Eight seasons is a good run for a sit-com. (Besides, How much longer could the kid be a half man?) The only sad thing is fans of the show likely won't see a series finale, which most long running shows get nowadays.

As far as Charlie goes, this (hopefully) maybe the first step to steer him in the direction of reality, once he gets past his rage and denial.

I think they should try a spinoff with Jon Cryer's character. They really have nothing to lose. I don't watch the show regularly. I do think it's funny though. I love multi-camera sitcoms and this show is the biggest one out there. It is sick that the genre is being held hostage by a very sick man. I never cared for Sheen but I do think he needs help. I hope he gets it before it's too late. I don't think Sheen and Lorre can work together anymore. I think unless Sheen apologizes and gets serious help, he's through with the show.

Well I was in favor of cancelling it even before Sheen's issues, but I just don't care for it. To each his own.

I don't really watch the show, but I don't think it's right for everyone else to suffer and lose their jobs because of the antics and juvenility of one man.

Keep the show going for one more season and FIRE SHEEN. IMMEDIATELY.

I've always thought Rose, Jake, Berta and Alan were the funny ones, so carry on without Charlie.

Two questions first: I'm not anti-sex. But honestly, isn't that all this show comes down to virtually every time? Who's great with the ladies (Charlie), who's inept with women (Alan).

Secondly: Why then do I watch it? There's not much else on TV. I honestly enjoyed TV pre-cable, satellite more. "As someone recently said, "Wherever crap becomes the normal standard, mediocrity is king."

I know, young SO members. My age is starting to show. I'm sounding like my own parents to some extent, and thought I never would be saying the same things. I think for "Two and a Half Men to Survive", it should change its format somewhat, just how I don't know. The writers and producers could think of ways to transition the show into a new and better phase. I don't want to see the cast lose their jobs either.

I'm not a fan of the show (even though my brother LOVES it), so I would shed no tears if it were to end altogether. That said, I feel bad for the crew, who don't make nearly the $$$ that the actors do. I feel bad for the rest of the cast who are stuck in an awkward position. Hopefully, they'll all be able to find work again soon.

I'm also not a fan of the show, but I don't believe that Charlie Sheen is irreplaceable. I think they could easily cast someone else and shift the focus of the show.

Cancel the show. If they did it to The Wonder Years they can do it to a show on the Parents Television Council's hit list. (Heck, they can do it to EVERY show on their hit list!)

Currently all the CBS sitcoms (well counting Bleep My Dad Says for a moment instead of Mad Love) are quite centered on sex and sex jokes, in fact Swoosie Kurtz's and her bf's characters on Mike & Molly are actually more explicit than Charlie has been on the show lately so I don't see why it's always 2.5 Men that gets the singled out in this aspect. It's another story if you compare the show to ABC's current sitcoms though.

Since I'm a fan, of course I'd want production to resume with Charlie for one more season and give the show a proper ending. If that can't happen, I don't see the point of desperate spin offs like 'Joey'...

Agree.

It's almost 3 Men already anyway. The show's run its course IMO.

Plus the show's been on since 2003. It's been on long enough.
