Lynda Carter: "I Have a Lot of Confidence in David E. Kelley's 'Wonder Woman'"
Lynda Carter: "I Have a Lot of Confidence' in David E. Kelley's 'Wonder Woman'"
by Chris Harnick posted Feb 22nd 2011 Lynda Carter, the face of Wonder Woman, thanks to the three seasons she spent playing the Amazon princess in the 1970s, said she is behind NBC's new "Wonder Woman" pilot and its writer, David E. Kelley. While promoting her concert in Baltimore, the 59-year-old star told the Baltimore Sun that it's about time Wonder Woman returned to TV. "I think it is an amazing role to play," Carter told the newspaper about Adrianne Palicki's casting. "I know she is going to be really nervous about it, just because you would be. But I have a lot of confidence in David Kelley and what he's going to come up with. David Kelley's so talented, and that's really where it needs to be, is in the writing. I spoke with David yesterday, and he's really, really excited about it," she said. "I think the story needs to be retold. It needs to have a fresh look at it. It affected a lot of people. I think it's time, I think it's important to have it out there again." Carter said she has been in contact with Kelley about the project, but was mum on any possible cameos. She said she wouldn't say no outright, adding, "I have too much respect for David, I just have too much respect for him." http://www.tvsquad.com/2011/02/22/ly...-wonder-woman/ |

Eh, I wished I shared Ms. Carter's faith in Kelley. This has all the earmarks of "Ally McBeal in a costume". I might check it out but I'm not expecting much.
