Wow! That's fantastic news. Hopefully, they will churn the rest of the seasons out as quickly as they did with "The Patty Duke Show". My guess is they will schedule Season 2 for Fall 2011. Anyhow, great to see it is coming in the near future.

I've had a feeling this was going to be coming out, it will be a great DVD set as long as the shows are complete and unedited. Looking forward to it and hopefully the other seasons will soon follow.

...and with season 2 of Dennis the Menace announced so soon after the season 1 release, these 2 shows complement each other well. Like you say, once they get going with Hazel, I hope we see this whole series out soon, also!

Hmmmm, I'd like to know too. Apparently, it's still coming but... they keep saying they are swamped. They must have some surprises because they haven't actually been full of announcements lately. Other than the BIG "Jem & The Holograms" dvd, there hasn't been the slightest news of any other big project being worked on.

I'm just glad I recorded all the episodes from Antenna TV. The shows are edited but it's better than nothing. There are 4 seasons of Hazel still waiting to get released on DVD, no telling how long that is going to take if it even happens at all.

I've also been waiting for MPI's DVD release of My Favorite Martian season 3. But I have the season 3 VHS box set from Rhino, so I made my own DVD's from the tapes I don't have to wait anymore for MPI to finally decide to put this out. At this point, the only DVD set I'm anxiously waiting for is Flying Nun season 3. Hopefully that one will be issued soon one of these days.

Funny, I'm actually waiting for that too. With only 1 season to go, it seems really dumb that Sony didn't just release it and be done with it. Afterall, then they could do one of their infamous "complete box" sets in those cheap packages.

As for "Hazel", I'll believe it when I see it. One of the producers jumped the gun saying they were planning its release. So who knows when it will be coming. Shout must have been slammed by bad dvd sales as well.

The people at Shout keeping saying how swamped they are; yet all the shows I want to buy from them seem stalled. No word yet on Rhoda, Designing Women, Facts of Life or Hazel. And no exciting new acquisitions yet either. I thought after they got The Norm Show, we'd see more WB product from Shout.

Well, Hazel isn't stalled, like those other shows. They announced it, but probably spilled the beans too soon. I think they expect a fall release for season 2, then I hope there's not a long wait for more!! Rhoda is held up because of FOX. Don't know what's up with DW and Facts.

MarkWay, good point. As I recall on the Shout! Factory website, Brian Ward did comment that they had formally signed the deal with Sony for Hazel so I'm sure Shout! is now simply in the normal production process for the release. I, too, expect a 4th quarter 2011 release date.

Thank God for Shout! Factory. They are the only studio who cares about the classics any more it seems. I've been watching Hazel daily on Antenna TV and it is nice to see but the episodes are obviously edited and the prints are pretty bad sometimes also. A few of them do have the original ending credits though with a ford car driving along ala My Three Sons with the Chevy car driving along.

Hazel is a great show and was always one of my faves.

Shout Factory has pushed the release of season two back to February 2012 but apparently it is definitely on the way as Amazon now has it listed (though I'm hoping that SF has just put up a "dummy" cover for season two as that's the same picture that's on one of the inner dvd covers in the Sony season one set.)
