I haven't seen every episode, but I'm pretty sure Vera's only "appearance" was on the '86 Thanksgiving episode.

Thumbs up

I think that the Thanksgiving episode was good, the way that they never revealed Vera's face. I think it would have ruined the illusion. Norm would make her out to be different things, depending on his mood. If we would have known what she looked like, it may not have been as funny.

I remember that episode. There was the resturant above Cheers called Melvilles and the owner of the resturant would always cause problems for the Cheers bar. Vera had started working there and Norm was upset because he didn't like having her so close to where he liked to hang out. John (the owner) ended up firing her and then we saw her feet while she was sitting on the stairs crying. Norm then got mad at John and ended up threatening him.

Hmmm... I know they were planning on showing her face in the final episode, but they never did. My mom said that in the final episode, when they are all sitting around smoking cigars, that the phone rings and it is supposed to be her calling Sam. Well, Woody thinks it's Kelly, Carla thinks it's the kids, Frasier thinks it's Lilith, Cliff thinks it's his mom, and Norm thinks it's Vera, yet Sam doesn't say anything. Now, my mom said they wanted everyone to leave the bar and have Sam say "It was Diane" and then everything else he did after that, but then they thought about leaving the viewers in suspense of who it was.
