Oh No Former 'Baretta' star Robert Blake Escorted Out of Celeb Autograph Convention

Actor Robert Blake was escorted out of a celebrity autograph convention over the weekend in Burbank, Calif.
The Baretta star -- who was acquitted in the murder of his wife in 2005 - left the event Saturday after complaining that the line at his table was too short.

He returned Sunday and began signing autographs in the parking lot.

He was booted a short time later for causing a disruption and threatening show organizers.

The mayhem was captured on camera.

"I'm giving away free pictures to my fans because yesterday I embarrassed myself by behaving like a fool, so I came back today to be a good guy and give them pictures and give them autographs because they kept me alive for 70 years," he said.

He also was seen on camera saying, "Call the police. There are deputies right there. There are cops all around."

He left a short time later.

Why am I not surprised that this hasn't happened sooner?

You took the words right out of my mouth!! One of our local stations showed Baretta reruns back around 2003-04 and watching him from way back then was creepy. I wasn't born yet when the show was originally on - did anyone who watched it the first time around pick up on a creepy vibe from him?

I wasn't surprised, either. I AM surprised that someone booked him for an autograph show in the first place.

I've seen Baretta and he never appeared creepy to me on that show. That said I too am surprised he would get a booking at an autgraph session.

I used to watch Baretta pretty regularly as a kid. He just seemed well-cast in the role. I later watched his earlier work as Mickey Gubitosi on the old "Our Gang" (Little Rascals) shorts.

I was just wondering if Mickey Gubiosi, or Robert Blake as he likes to be called, is the only Little Rascal still living? Yes he was Mickey who was in the Our Gang comedies of the late 30s with Spanky McFarland through the early 40s. Blake may be a jerk, but he's been in movies and TV longer than most of these people.

As of May 2014, living Our Gang actors included Robert Blake, Sidney Kibrick, Jean Darling, Marianne Edwards, Dickie Moore, Jerry Tucker, Lassie Lou Ahern, Mildred Kornman, and Leonard Landy.

I used to watch Baretta. It was a cool show. Robert Blake was a good actor, but yes a bit weird, maybe you would call it eccentric ? As a little girl before Baretta I saw him in the movie In cold blood, where he played a murderer. He fit the roll well. When I heard about the shooting of his wife, I wasn't surprised really. I could see him prone to violence. He seemed like a hair trigger temper type person.

First time I ever saw Robert (Micky Gubatosi) Blake. was in the Little Rascals in the 1940s shorts. Who would expect he'd grow up to be such an A-HO. I can't stand him now.

I remember him in all his work: Little Rascals, Baretta And play a motorcycle cop in a movie that was very memorable!
