Madderest Charlie Sheen Slams CBS, Warner Bros. TV For Not Allowing Him To Return To Work

Charlie Sheen made another bizarre public statement this morning, this time on live radio. The Two and a Half Men star, who is undergoing rehab treatment at home, called into the Dan Patrick Show to complain that CBS and Men producer Warner Bros. TV would not allow him to return to work despite, according to him, being ready to do so. "They said 'You get ready and we'll get ready'," he said in the 30-minute interview. "I got ready and went back and nobody was there ... I don't know what to tell ya," Sheen said, adding that he lost his voice banging on the show's stage doors. He stressed that the show's hiatus has been "forced". He cracked that "at this pace", Men will return to production in "August 2014". Sheen later clarified that the show is expected to resume filming on Feb. 28. CBS and WBTV declined comment on a TMZ report that the order for Men is being cut from 24 to 20 episodes. The show has 16 episodes in the can, with the 4 additional ones eyed to shoot on March 4, 11, 18 and 25. That means that the show's producers won't try to make up for the current four-week work stoppage. Last year, the 3-week hiatus caused by Sheen's rehab treatment resulted in the show delivering 22 instead of 24 episodes. It is still unclear how the crew of the show will be compensated for any unproduced episodes. Sheen recently offered to cover a third of the pay if CBS and WBTV pick up the rest. During the readio interview with Dan Patrick, Sheen insisted he is now "100%" clean and urged CBS and WBTV to take advantage of that. "I heal really quickly but I also unravel pretty quickly," Sheen said. "So get me right now, guys." Since his 36-hour bender that ended in a emergency hospital visit followed by a rehab treatment, Sheen has done 2 unfiltered interviews via text messaging, in which he called his detractors "turds." He also made a surprise visit to a practice of UCLA's baseball team, telling the guys: "Don't do crack, drink chocolate milk, and enjoy every moment."

Cool

Wow! CBS and Warner Brothers shut down production of a very lucrative TV series for the sake of Charlie Sheen and his health and this is how he thanks them? It seems very ungracious and ungrateful of him but I try to remind myself that Charlie is a sick man and this is his disease speaking. But still I find it very difficult to listen to anything he has to say.

"I heal really quickly but I also unravel pretty quickly," Sheen said.

This does not sound like it is coming from a stable person at all. If you unravel pretty quickly, I would say you are not healed at all.

Never cared for the show at all, its very unappealing in many ways. I cannot understand why it's so popular.

It's too bad, but he still needs help.

I've never cared for the show myself. My brother loves it, and for the life of me I can't see why. But these are definitely the words of an addict. For the sake of his kids at least, he needs EXTENSIVE rehab.

The reason the show is so popular, from this male's perspective, is because Sheen plays a easy going, happy-go-lucky guy, who is NEVER seen working that beds the most incredibly sexy women with as little effort as a half hearted request. If you actually count the number of women he has bedded each season, you will see why his persona is popular with men.

I can't say I care all that much about Charlie Sheen but for the sake of his children I hope he gets his act together and conquers his addictions for good.

Default I don't think anyone has told Sheen the correct order of events-

"First, rehab....THEN, you return!!!"

oddly my sister loves this show, so i bet she will be pissed i still dont understand why she likes it though, to each his own i guess, i like golden girls and maude. i think CBS had a tough decision to make though no win-win , the star of the show is a guy with major drug addictions (who almost died with his last bender) whos really crazy,

I'd like to add one thing though: that means EXTENSIVE rehab!

(besides, I want to see what happens with Charlie and Rose)

Oh No

Now I can see why his brother Emilio won't talk to Charlie much!

And to his father, Martin...you better do some Hail Marys for your son!

Have any of his friends/family tried an intervention?

That probably wouldn't help. The only way anything is going to change is if Charlie himself admits he has a problem and seeks help. And so far every quote I've heard from him sounds like he is still in complete denial. I'm really beginning to fear that this story is heading toward a very sad ending.

That's true - I just wondered if they'd already tried it.
