One thing (among many things of course) that I love about "The Beverly Hillbillies" is the really unusual relationship between Jed and Granny. Most sitcoms had son in laws and mother in laws battling it out as on "Bewitched" but Jed and Granny were just the opposite, more like a mother and a son if anything. Of course the fantastic on screen chemistry between Irene Ryan and Buddy Ebson really made it special but that great (and unusual for the 1960's or any other time for that matter) bond was also there in the writing of the characters. I always loved how Granny was trying to marry Jed off again when in reality that would have put her in an awkward position with a new wife in the mansion. What do others think about Jed and Granny's relationship?
