I know Mary was the star, but I was never a big fan of shows named after their stars. I feel like that is a bit of laziness. Anybody else not totally enamoured with the title of the show? What name would you give it if you could change it?

Personally, I like the title of the show. But if I did have to pick another title, I would go with either 'Mary' or 'After All'.

One of her later sitcom efforts was indeed titled Mary. As for this show, I don't mind. Keep in mind that many other stars had shows named after them: The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Andy Griffith Show, The Bob Newhart Show, The Paul Lynde Show, etc.

Very true, I just was never a fan of that format for sitcom titles. It just seemed lazy IMO

I like it being named after Mary. But for another name, how about "Love is All Around?"
