Wow this is so sad. She was great in all her roles. I had no idea she was 89. R.I.P. Peggy. Thanks for the memories.

Peggy had started her television acting carrer before the 1960's, as she appeared in I Love Lucy in the '50's. She also appeared in Here's Lucy in the '70's, and does one of the episode intros (Lucy & Eva Gabor) on the first season dvd set.

Yes she was. I loved her as Lulu Hogg on DOH and also as Grace's Mother-in-Law on Grace Under Fire. What a completely different character that was.

She was pretty funny in the first season of Step By Step with Patrika Darbo, but there were an excess number of characters that first season I guess so they got written out after that.

So sad. I will always remember her as Martha Birkhorn, Edith's friend, on "All in the Family" as well as Hazel's competition in an episode of "Hazel" where Hazel tries to win a trip to the World's Fair. She was a lovely actress. Always a pleasure to see her on screen.

Peggy Rea. I remember her best as Cousin Rose on The Waltons, Lulu Hogg on "Dukes", and as Grace's mother-in-law Jean Kelly on Grace Under Fire. Three very diverse roles each of which she handled with great aplomb. She was a very talented and very likable character actress. She will be missed.

to a wonderful character actress. My favorite role of hers - Lulu Hogg, Boss Hogg's wife (and Rosco P. Coltrane's sister). Hilarious!!

I love that picture. Cute how all J.D.'s pet names for his wife were all food-related. Sugarplum, pudding, etc.
