Cool

Harry Morgan, William Christopher, and Jamie Farr loved working on M*A*S*H and wanted it to continue beyond the eleventh season. The rest of the cast however voted to end the show after eleven seasons so Morgan, Christopher, and Farr continued their characters on the spinoff Aftermash.

Michael Landon must have loved Little House on the Prairie. He not only
starred in and co-produced it, but he also often directed and/or wrote many of
the episodes. He was also very much involved in all aspects of Highway
to Heaven
.

Howard McNear loved doing "THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW". In fact, when he suffered a stroke and had to leave; it was obvious that his prescence in the series was missing. So they called his house one day and his wife answered. They said "We were wonering if Howard would like to return to the show". She said "Oh, he'd love it! He misses it so much and he misses working with all of you"!

James Arness stayed with Gunsmoke for its full 20 year run,and was ready to go a few more seasons had the show not been cancelled.

Morey Amsterdam and Rose Marie loved playing Buddy and Sally on the Dick Van Dyke Show. In fact they lobbied for the series to continue beyond it's 5 year run but Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore, and Carl Reiner were ready to move onto other projects.

The late Sorrell Booke loved The Dukes of Hazzard and the role of Boss Hogg so much it was put on his tombstone:

Indeed!!! The two of them were the Laurel and Hardy of Hazzard County. In fact, it seems that most, if not all, of the Dukes cast (and crew) loved the show and each other!!

It seems all the cast of The Mary Tyler Moore Show, loved that series and each other. It really shows when they're re-united. In fact I never heard of anybody not getting along. There's a story that Ted Knight was unhappy for a short period with the Ted Baxter character, but the crew and other castmembers were supportive of his concerns, and apparently he overcame them.

Thumbs up

Lisa Whelchel has also made no secret of how much she enjoyed her run on The Facts of Life and playing the role of Blair.
