The theme they use today, and have used since the series made its syndicated debut in 1984.Which do you like better?I like the ORIGINAL version, better, because its kind of bongo-sounding,and like the show is now and always was. ,more fast paced, whereas the version now is kind of laid-back and slower paced.

I liked the original bongo-sounding theme, especially when Don Pardo introed the show by saying "These three people will compete today on (sound of bongos) JEOPARDY!"

The Current 1984-Present opening theme because the Pre-2000s versions of it are the classic.

There are probably a lot of people who've never seen the original version, with Art Fleming as the host, brought to you in living color, peacock and all, on NBC.
There's very little on Youtube, probably because very little still exists, due to the practice of wiping tapes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Zuy...85743884C9F94D |
