I'm looking to get a list of what rare/obscure tv series have only had one or just a couple of eps released onto VHS or DVD. I'm mostly interested in early 40's and 50's sitcoms and other shows that have only a few surviving prints such as some of the Dumont series.
I know a Classic TV Christmas dvd set that was at Walmart is one such release that has the only known episode of certain 50's series on it. So if anyone can please share what they know, that would be great. |

I would suggest the bootleg circuit. It can be a gamble, but if you get hooked up with the right person, you could find yourself getting what you're looking for.

I have done that a few times in the past but right am looking more for legit, commercial releases of series. This is more specifically what im talking about:
http://www.hometheaterforum.com/foru...buried-forever series that have only a few remaing episodes left in existance...old prints found in basements, attics, collectors vaults, and where we can find them and what they are. |

If you'd rather stick to legitimate releases, check out the offerings that Mill Creek puts out. They have several "Shovelware" Packages that feature 150 Episodes of many old, obscure TV Series from the 1950s.
