The man who created the book and television series "The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams," has died, reports the BBC News.
His name was Charles Sellier and he was 67. Sellier died unexpectedly at his home in Idaho, according to a spokesman for Sellier's production company, who didn't specify a cause of death. Sellier published "Grizzly Adams" in 1972, telling the story of a man accused of murder who becomes friends with a bear while on the run, the story says. It was loosely based on the story of a real 19th Century trapper and bear trainer, the article notes. Dan Haggerty played the character in a 1974 film and in the television series, which aired on NBC for two seasons. Sellier later produced documentary TV films and was nominated for and Emmy in 1980 for his work on the children's TV film "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," the story says. http://www.tvweek.com/blogs/tvbizwir...dams-tv-se.php

I haven't seen the movie (or TV series) since I was a kid! Would love to revisit it and see if I have a fondness for it.
