Sonny Jim Gaines, the man who played "Big Money" Grip, was the same actor who played "Bottom-of-the-Deck Dan" in the last-season episode where Fred kept gambling to try to save the Sanford Arms! There, you get to see what he looked like without the "old man" stuff on.

I think he's in the last episode, too, where Fred gets his GED. I think he's one of the crowd who comes to cheer the graduates on or maybe a graduate himself. I know the guy who played "Uncle Edgar" in "Members of the Wedding" is a graduate in that episode.

I remember seeing John Amos on the first Lena Horne episode and he looked older on that episode than he does now.

That actor appeared in the 2 part episode of Good Times, "JJs Fiancee", where he played the father of the girl JJ eloped with. In those 2 episodes he looked young.
