Last week I showed my husband a handy feature on the computer. It's when you hold down the Control key, and the wheel on top of your mouse can minimize or maximize what's on the computer screen.
He loved it and asked me if I had any more tricks. I thought it would be a good idea to have a thread where we share computer features.

When you play videos on Quicktime player and pause them using the
spacebar and click on the right and left arrow buttons, it moves the video in slow motion forward and backward, which is pretty cool. |

On my computer, when I put the cursor over a thread title, it allows me to read a bit of what's inside the thread. My husband doesn't have that feature or it's not activated. I went to CP, then mouse and looked around but couldn't find anything. Does anyone know? His computer is older than mine, so maybe that's it?

This morning I came across something on the internet where the print was too small to read. I remembered Janice's trick with the control key and the mouse roller. I tried it and it worked! I was able to enlarge the print and read it! Thanks Janice!

I didn't know that the keyboard does that.
My mouse has a button on the side of it that magnifies/minimizes the screen. |

If you want to highlight something using the keyboard hold down the shift key and use the left or right arrow key.

Java updates are so poorly implemented; most people's PC's end up having several older versions of Java stuck on there just waiting to cause problems. |

The entire planet probably knows this, but when you hit Ctrl and N, a new page comes up.
