"Bold and the Beautiful" Cuts Kyle Lowder

After four years on CBS's Emmy-winning soap "The Bold and the Beautiful", Kyle Lowder is out as Rick.

The official word is that Lowder's been taken off contract and will be recurring -- much like Ashley Jones' Bridget and Winsor Harmon's Thorne -- but according to the star, he's looking for a permanent gig elsewhere.




Lowder told Soap Opera Digest:

"From my standpoint, it's an amicable situation. Obviously, it's their choice, but at the same time, the story has been slow for over a year and a half, and like any professional in any line of work would do, you prepare yourself for the next step."
