As 1)Ernie Thompson,Chip's friend(Yes,I know he is Stanley Livingston's(Chip)real-life brother),who replaced Sudsy Pfeiffer as Chip's friend on the latter ABC black and white Bryant Park episodes(Question:In what ABC season did he become Ernie Thompson?),or 2)When Steve adopted him and he became Ernie Douglas? I liked both.

I like Ernie better as the adopted kid brother. When he was Chip's friend, it was always a little hard for me to believe that they were the same age.
