Well, I sort of kinda did something stupid. Theres this guy I like, and he was dating someone. I know this because I was the one that he would ask if he needed help getting his gf Nikki anything or needed a second opinion on where to take her out. Then when one of his friends was going through a break up he was talking like he had just broken up with Nikki and then for the longest time, okay, a couple of months, he doesn't even mention her.
My friends and I are all taking dates to the movies, so I asked him if he wanted to go, and mentioned that he could bring a couple of his friends...... he's bringing his freaking girlfriend! Just thought I'd share that in the hopes that someone would offer me something good from this. |

One good thing--you know he is still with his girlfriend so now you can keep an eye out for someone else. I sincerely hope things work out for you.

I would consider backing off. He and this girl could get serious, and you could end up getting hurt.
Proceed with caution. |

Oh yeah, I know to back off. The last thing I want to do is to purposely step in and break two people up. I was just wondering how to get through the weekend with him and his girlfriend.

It might be a good idea, just to back out of this, and say you have other plans, or just want to stay home. Just saying. |

I've had people I've really liked in the past - but they were involved. What I'd do next time is ask him if he's still going out with so-and-so. I'd also throw in that I was just curious as its not like him to not mention her. This way you have a clear answer and get to know what's what.
I don't blame you for being glad he couldn't come. Talk about awkward. Sometimes you just have to live and learn. Good for you that you would not want to get involved with someone already in a relationship. Shows a lot of classiness on your part. |
