'The Big Bang Theory' May Visit 'The Good Wife' To Retrieve Christine Baranski - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

One of the difficult things about having recurring guest stars on TV shows is simple -- they often have other commitments, and you cannot always get them whenever you want. One such example of this is Neil Patrick Harris on "Glee," as his day job comes on another network with "How I Met Your Mother."

Meanwhile, the job is a bit easier when you have shows that happen to be airing on the same network. For evidence of this, just check out "The Big Bang Theory" and their hopes to bring back Christine Baranski as Leonard's mom. Here is what show executive producer Chuck Loore had to say on getting Baranski back to TVLine -- in addition to some talk about some other "parental figures" from the show:

“It is our hope to try and steal Christine Baranski away from ''The Good Wife for a week [to return as Leonard's mom]. The same goes for Laurie Metcalf [as Sheldon's mother]. We have a lot of love in this regard for having actresses of that stature be a part of the family. And Keith Carradine as Penny’s father, he was amazing."

By no means is this an indicator that these people will be coming back immediately -- but Lorre and company are certainly interested in seeing it happen.

I've enjoyed every appearance Christine Baranski and Laurie Metcalf have made on Big Bang Theory. I do hope they will be back for more.
