Sadly, a wholesome show such as this would not last. At TV's corrent state in a year (or two) it will be required by all show to drop the F boom. They allow everything else. I think it is about time we return to the good wholesome family comedy. Show people can watch with there childern.

I think TV programming trends are cyclical. In the 50's and 60's wholesome family shows were the norm. Then in the 70's along came Norman Lear and changed all that. Suddenly the airwaves were filled with shows that pushed the envelope in every direction. In the 80's the Cosby Show ushered in a new era of wholesome family television. That era has been replaced with our current era where almost anything goes fueled by the networks battling cable for viewers. I think things will come full circle at some point in the future and wholesome family TV will make yet another comeback.

In Gary Goldberg's book Sit, Ubu Sit, he stated that the networks weren't very interested in family sitcoms when he was trying to get Family Ties on air.
