Thanks to TMZ, Lisa Whelchel, best known as Blair on the '80's television show "The Facts of Life," is experiencing a little Google trends love. Whelchel spent nine years on the popular NBC show and was a Mouseketeer for "The New Mickey Mouse Club" before that. So what is the former Blair Warner up to these days?
Whelchel, 47, finished filming the show in March of 1988 and married her husband Steve on July 9, 1998. On her website, she describes him as "brilliant, good-looking and he loves to serve - an awesome combination. He holds down two jobs, which enables me to be a stay-at-home mom." The two have three children, Tucker, Haven and Clancy. Whelchel started MomTime Ministries, which is a group of moms who meet weekly to encourage and other and learn from each other. MomTime has four main elements: Friends, Food, Faith and Fun. She is also the founder of MomTime Get-A-Ways and "Personal Mom Coaching." She has written 12 books on homeschooling, scrapbooking, parenting and more. Whelchel has devoted her life to the Christian faith. Despite all of her business ventures, Whelchel feels her role as a wife and mother is her "greatest and most challenging role yet." http://blog.zap2it.com/pop2it/2011/0...ife-up-to.html |

Great story!!! Actually, she and Steve Cauble were married in 1988 - I think it's great they've had such a long lasting marriage. I've read several of her books and they are all great. God bless Lisa and her family!!

Glad to see Lisa has a happy, healthy and content family life away from the Hollywood spotlight!

Hollywood is such a different beast than what it was over twenty years ago when she left. I think she made a good decision.

I love that she's inadvertantly following in the footsteps of Audrey Hepburn, who left her acting career behind to focus on raising her family. She only made 13 films all together, which isn't many at all compared to other actresses of her generation.
