Hi All
I saw this case on UM about this couple who owned a garment factory. After the husband died the wife became a recluse. And then she tried to hide her identity by cutting off the heads of the pictures in her house. Later on she was identified as the daughter of a very poor man and that was the reason that she tried to hide her identity. Does anyone remember this case? Thanks... |

I believe the case you're talking about is Dorothea Allen. This was a very unique "Lost Heirs" segment because while most of the subject of these stories were nice, harmless people you felt real sympathy for, Dorothea Allen just seemed to be a mean old woman who took major steps to make sure that no one could ever their hands on her fortune after she died!
Apparently, they did eventually find some heirs to claim her money through DNA testing. This thread here provides the full backstory: http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/...d.php?t=265957 |
