Well he is correct. Lucy's voice did get deeper later in her career. And cigarette smoking probably had a lot to do with it.

I have to admit he made me chuckle with the "Lucy, Ricky's mad at me"/"Kim, Harry's mad at me . . . waaaah!" comparison.

It also made me wonder how much Here's Lucy he's watched given that he knows the names of the characters!

I thought it was neat that he had the young Lucy talking to Ethel about Ricky and the older Lucy talking to Kim about Harry. Martin Short is obviously familiar with Lucy's work and career. I would expect nothing less from a former SCTV cast member. Those people were always so knowledgeable about the people they were impersonating!

This has me wondering about others who developed a deep voice. Barbara Stanwyck comes to mind.
