I'm sure that when you get a job or volunteer, some places like Child Care Centers and Retirement Homes now want you to do fingerprint checking.

Now...do they check everything that you did in life?

Some places do deep background checks and other places don't. It sometimes depend on what kind of job you are applying for or how you are volunteering.

It's mostly a criminal check, to see if you've ever had any run-ins with the law. Some places will also do credit checks. Some companies will say that they will do an employer check but 9 times out 10 they don’t.
