Valerie Bertinelli once again shares the screen with Bonnie Franklin — who played mom Ann to Bertinelli's Barbara on One Day at a Time — on the January 26 episode of TV Land's Hot in Cleveland.

Franklin plays the mother of Melanie's boyfriend, Pete. "She takes an immediate dislike to [Bertinelli's] Melanie," says creator Suzanne Martin. But off camera things were much happier. "It was a dream come true, because I haven't worked with Bonnie in over 20 years," Bertinelli tells TV Guide Magazine. "I must say I was a little nervous. I wanted her to have a really special, good time."

Indeed they have aged well.
The photo of them embracing is heart warming. It makes you wonder do they still carry that mother/daughter vibe from 'One Day at a Time'.

I think they do, b/c I saw an interview where Valerie said Bonnie is like her second mom.

And Bonnie told the audience during the filming of the episode that she's so proud of how Valerie turned out. Aww!
