BURBANK, CA, January 19, 2011 – Warner Bros. Pictures announced today that Anne Hathaway has been cast as Selina Kyle in Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises.” She will be starring alongside Christian Bale, who returns in the title role of Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Also, Tom Hardy has landed the role of Bane.

In Batman & Robin he was Poison Ivy's (Uma Thurman) lead henchman.

They are saying that the role will be more similar to the comics where Bane is a beefed up convict who becomes obsessed with defeating Batman after hearing about all of his stories.
