On This Date in 2003: Homer & Marge Surpassed Ozzie & Harriet
January 17th, 2003 - It was announced that FOX had renewed "The Simpsons" for two more seasons. The extension pushed the show past "The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet" as the all-time longest-running situation comedy.
