Question Do You Think There Could Ever Be Another "Brady Bunch" Scripted Reunion?

Or is that just not possible considering the loss of Robert Reed?

I suppose they could, but it would be a downer because they'd have to acknowledge the death of Mike Brady.

I think we've seen the last of the Brady Bunch reunion movies.

Cool

Sherwood Schwartz was fully prepared to move forward without Robert Reed while preparing for a possible 6th season of the original series. So I don't think that would be a problem now. What would be a problem if you want all the original cast members to participate is the hard feelings between Maureen and Eve. Of course most Brady reunions have included at least one "fake" Brady daughter. So that could be a possible solution here.

At the October 2010 BigAppleCon with Williams, Knight, and Lookinland somebody asked them if there are any Brady Bunch projects in the works; either with them or a new cast.

Their answer was, "As far as we all know there is nothing in the making. We've all been asked and approached to do things before but for one reason or another nothing was able to happen."

In a word - no. The TODAY show people couldn't even get Maureen and Eve in the same room for a cast reunion!!

And you wouldn't have Ann B. Davis either--she is quite content to be living her retired life in San Antonio.

We have to face facts--the TV Land reunion "Still Brady..." was the last reunion.

That was the one hosted by Jenny McCarthy, right?

I wish they would have one final reunion movie tying up the plots that The Bradys left, plus they could acknowledge the passing of Mike Brady. What a great finale movie it would make.

I longed wished for that....you just know that Bobby was gonna walk again...that maybe Peter was gonna find the right girl...that Cindy was finally gonna be a Brady Bride herself....

But I'm afraid that ship has sailed.....

I'm not so sure about that considering that in the last true reunion, The Bradys Mike was going to be killed off in a helicopter crash. They could simply go with that and take it up 20 or so years after his death.

The spat between Eve and Maureen would be an issue, and Ann B Davis is questionable, but these issues could be worked out.

Of course, there is also the possibility of a remake with a different cast, or, as I have suggested, the Brady Grandkids could have one or more shows of their own with cameos or even regular appearances from one or more original cast members.

Maybe they could hire Ken Berry to play Mr Brady ("Kelly's Kids") since I heard that he was the original actor chosen for the role.

I personally would have no interest in watching anything like that, even as a one-time TV movie. I didn't care about the grand-kids when they appeared in the subsequent Brady spin offs, I certainly wouldn't care about them at this point. I kind of feel like the original cast of the BB are the REAL Bradys, and everyone else (grandkids and all that) were just actors hired to fill some roles.

There comes a time when reunion stuff becomes really, really forced. The youngest real Brady turns 50 this year (Susan Olsen). I don't mind when cast members get together on a talk show or something and talk about their days on the show. But the extended families are nothing more than a bunch of people we've never seen before. I only care about the original cast, period. I may be in the minority on that, but I really couldn't care less about any so-called Brady grandkids.

I don't think your alone in that at all Tweety. In fact I think one of the reasons The Brady's was such a short lived series is that people only wanted to see the original cast and not all the spouses and children etc. Of course it would have made the Brady family look very weird if none of the kids were married and they didn'yt have kids of their own. So of course they were included in the show. I think that's okay in a one time reunion like A Very Brady Christmas but it didn't fly in a series.

I don't think a reunion would work at this point.
