Default Complete 4th Season Released on DVD!

....well, not really, of course...

...BUT what sort of stories would you like to have seen if Gunsmoke had bitten the dust?

Please don't just repeat the bits of info we fans have heard...like Tina Louise was going to leave the show or Gilligan was going to be shrunk, etc.

NEWS FLASH: It is 1967 and we are putting NEW episodes of "Gilligan's Island", for September 1967:

A giant grasshopper terrorisizes the island. It goes after everyone. Like something out of a bad Ed Wood B movie. [or Bee movie.] Skipper wakes up and finds it was a nightmare.

Paul Lynde as a "gay"-oh, alright-"sissy"-island expolorer who makes Gilligan & The Skipper give up his hut for him to crash in, wins his way into the Howells's heart and bosses the girls and professor around. Wears flowered shirts and calls everyone fella. The skipper threatens to pick Lynde up, and say, "ONE More, HI fella outta YOU!"" and...

Betty Grable combining both Ginger AND Mary Ann qualities, and giving Gilligan and ESPECIALLY the Skipper, Professor and Howells a show that makes Lovey, Mary Ann and Ginger jealous. Would play herself and have her own sterring wheel graphic/porthole.

Richard Haydn [the British actor imitated by the Clyde Crahscup character on the old Chipmunks, who worked with actual Gilligan guest Sterling Holloway in the Disney film of "Alice in Wonderland" [1951], as a "Trojan" robot monkey operator who plans to take over the island, with a real chimp. He says, Egg-sacti-actly will you cas-a-ta-way dooo for me [in case you either forgot or don't know how Haydn sounded]. He will chase the castaways aorund and have his evil chimp operate the 500 foot high giant simian-esq vehicle control panel, thus sending out 50 foot high giant robot arms to grab Gilligan! He's almos,t in short as much as of a thread as anyone else! He then runs back to home on his "robot", with the monkey rescued by a boat and giving him away.
Billy De Wolfe as a prissy, prissy prissy [get it?] cleaning person who is Mr./Howell's cousin who arrives by his own boat, to see if any tropical islands need dusting, or "dus-ting", and gets welcomed but then bugs ALL castaways by insisting that they clean their hut. "And I want some snappy, snappy, snappy action here. Come, come.".. Mary Ann: "Here you go" [angry]. "Ang-ry, angry angry! Please do not worry yourself". He is as much as an annoyance as the villianous magician he played in Rankin-Bass's classic Frosty the snowman!

Jimmy Durante comes to the island with a cold in the nose ["Oh my nose"---WHOOPS - WRONG SHerwood show], and befriends The professor. He too like Betty Grable will have his own steerling wheel porthole in the open. The professor gives him a "schnozz cure" with hyacinth, perssimmon and other fruits in medicine. His nose grows bigger, and he hasn't even told any lies yet! Mr Howell then remembers a plant that grows, only for headhunters to come by..

Gilligan and a monkey run into each other and turn into each other. GBlligan acts like a monkey and the moneky like Gilligan.

Louie Amrstrong comes onto the island, to escape from civilization, but then learns the castaways can teach this old Dixie dog some new jazzy tricks! Red beans and rice.

The castaways are about to get rescued until Gilligan messes it up...

...come to think of it, that's the basic plot for almost all the episodes.

I think there would be more dream sequences where they would not be bound to the island.

As long as they didn't add a child or have a new castaway, such as Gilligan's nephew, appear, I think the season 4 episodes would have been as enjoyable as the others

What a great idea that would have been to have special guest stars in their own steering wheel. Very good Steve. I guess it would have been inserted after the ad break. I couldn't imagine them adding music and lyrics to the title theme.
Here's how it may have looked.
