I know they adopted a Vietnamese son later in the show's run, and had 3 or 4 daughters of their own. In the first season, Marie is visibly pregnant and they were discussing the new baby. In real life, Joyce Bulifant (Marie) was pregnant with her son, John Mallory (later Asher), who went on to marry and divorce Jenny McCarthy.

Ellen Slaughter (Eileen McDonough) appeared in S5's "Marriage, Minneapolis Style". Bonnie Slaughter made an appearance in S7's "Mary's Insomnia". Bonnie was played by Sherry Hursey, better known to Home Improvement fans as Al's girlfriend, Ilene. Laurie Slaughter was played by Helen Hunt in the S7 episode "Murray Ghosts for Ted".

OMW!! I was about to start a thread sorta like this a few days ago.

Yeah, I knew of Le Chan, Bonnie and Ellen. And yes, Marie was pregnant in, "We Closed In Minneapolis". But interesting that she wasn't pregnant in the episode just two before in, "Just A Lunch"! LOL -- or visible, anyway.

Yes, but Bonnie also appeared in episode, "I Gave At The Office" and was played by Tammi Bula.
I thought it was kinda odd that two different actresses played her, sorta.
Also funny how one calls Mary Aunt Mary and the other Ms. Richards.

Oh, you're welcome.

I also noticed in "A Son For Murray" that he quotes to have 3 daughters, when in fact he has 4.

Bonnie
Laurie
Ellen
and Susie

Marie was pregnant in one episode, and another she's seen picking up young children's toys when Mary stops by. Yet all the daughters are teenage! There should have been atleast one toddler!

Marie was pregnant in, "We Closed In Minneapolis" from Season One.
And she was picking up toys in, "The Slaughter Affair".

Well Ellen...could have been.
(I'm saying Susie is the one she was pregnant with)

Yeah, well again, that's TV for ya. haha

Yeah, and other shows too.

BTW, this actually will go under a thread I've been meaning to post for a few years now. (Not kidding)

But ever notice in "I Gave At The Office" that Bonnie is 15, yet Murray and Marie have only been married 10 years? And then in "Marriage, Minneapolis Style" they have been married 20! haha
