Default TV Shows You Never Seen In Reruns But......

They may have aired in some other areas. For me, I have never seen Blossom, Webster, 21 Jump Street, Mr. Belvedere, and Drexell's Class in reruns. But they may have aired in reruns in some other location.

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Drexell's Class hasn't been seen since it was canceled by Fox nineteen years ago.

Remember the late William Conrad's LAST series he did before his death,"Jake and the Fatman"?You never see that.Nor do you ever see "Empty Nest",the ORIGINAL CBS 1961-1965 "The Defenders"with the late E.G.Marshall and the late Reed as father-son lawyers.Or "Owen Marshall:Counselor at Law"with the late Arthur Hill.

There are so many good shows that either have never been shown in re-runs or have not aired in years.A few examples of many, Warner Bros. made some very popular shows during the 1950s-60s like,Hawaiian Eye,77 Sunset Strip,Sugarfoot and many others that I've never had the opportunity to view. I'd love to see those shows and the many other classics that are never re-run.

Which is ironic since it pummelled Seinfeld for a few years before it became a hit.

I didn't know it beat Seinfield in the ratings. Back then I was watching Seinfield and not this show. However, I've been watching DVDs of Jake and the Fatman and really enjoying them. Interesting to see William Conrad play a character so different from his Cannon role. It would be nice to see this show and other obscure crimes dramas in reruns somewhere. RTN has lots of interesting crime shows not shown anywhere else (and many not available on DVD) but very often the copies of the shows are so bad that they are either hard to hear or hard to see. I've noticed these issues quite a bit more with the older 50's and 60's shows that they broadcast. I've tried watching 'Run for your Life' a few different times on RTN and every time I've had to give up because the sound was so crappy. The picture was nothing to write home about either.

In the early 90's, the Fox affiliate in my area did air Webster and Mr. Belvedere reruns during the day. I remember coming after school and watching them when I was in kindergarten and in the 1st grade. The same affiliate did also aired Blossom reruns for a couple like years between '95-97.

I sort or remember WGN airing Webster reruns in the late 90's for a short period of time.

From what I've read online through different message boards and sites, Blossom is something that pretty much never airs in syndication. I find it sad, because Blossom was a bit better than shows like Full House and Family Matters. Both of those shows have been overkill on syndication.

And I don't think they air the ABC 1966-1968 World War II series "The Rat Patrol" with the late Christopher George and Eric Braeden(yes,THAT Eric Braeden-who plays Victor Newman on CBS' powerhouse soap opera "The Young and the Restless,"who ,on The Rat Patrol went by his REAL name,Hans Gudegast).and show it anywhere. It's too bad ,because it was a pretty good series.

For me, it would be shows like Head of the Class, 227 and Amen. I lived in Tampa, FL and those shows were not aired here in syndication. I was even more frustrated because I had WOR (the channel I have here locally in NYC) but 1989, they have to cover shows like these up with other shows because they were no longer permitted to air them nationally. I was excited to see these shows in syndication but when I checked the schedule or when I watched WOR and 227 would start to air, the picfroze and some generic, short-lived show like "The four seasons" would start to air. I hated that.

In the late 80's and early 90's, Punky Brewster did air locally on channel 28 in Tampa. Then in the mid 90's, it was airing weekdays on The Family Channel.

To add a non-American perspective on this:

Here in Sweden, "Blossom" was originally aired on SVT, the public service network, back in the 90s. Then around 2004, it was aired on TV4 (the second largest network) instead. I haven't seen it on for over six years now, but TV4 has a daughter channel, TV4 Komedi, which shows old sitcoms, so I haven't lost my hope. But why hasn't "Blossom" been re-run as much as "Full House" and "Family Matters"? Well, it might have something to do with the fact, that it pushed the envelope more than what FH and FM did. But then again, so did "Roseanne", and that show seems to be have seen frequently in syndication over in the US.

"Empty nest" is another one, that I remember seeing on SVT back in the 90s,. On the other hand, I haven't seen it since. But I've seen its mother show, "The golden girls", being aired on at least three different channels after its original Swedish run on SVT.

77 Sunset Strip has been aired in recent years by a My Network TV channel in my area -- including the final season, which was very different from the others. Now it's no longer on, sadly.

I'm really enjoying Stagecoast West, a series from ca. 1960 starring Wayne Rogers -- now on ME TV. I had never seen those before.
