I see someone has posted a topic on the best singles of the year, but what about the best albums? Here's what I think, in no particular order -
'Gorillaz' - Gorillaz 'Beautiful Garbage' - Garbage 'Hybrid Theory' - Linkin Park 'Height of Callousness' - Spineshank 'Bleed American' - Jimmy Eat World |

Nice topic, Mossopp.
I'll just narrow it down to the ones I bought this year, that may of come out in 2000 as well as 2001, of course. Mind you, I bought over 30 cd's(I'm not kidding) since June, so here's My top 5: "Parachutes" Coldplay "Is This It?" The Strokes "Just Enough Education to Perform" Sterophonics "Hybrid Theory" Linkin Park "The Invisible Band" Travis I did indeed buy the Gorillaz album, and sadly, it did not make my top five. I think Damon Albarn is brilliant, but I'd rather listen to Blur's "Best of". |

Completely changing the subject - I bought the Grand Theft Audio album, 'Blame Everyone', today. It's pretty good. Their gutarist used to be in 3 Colours Red before they split up. They were cool - did you ever listen to them? |

I have to agree with Cokies and put Sterophonics- JEEP on here...it's great! Anyway, my favorite album I bought this year is probably Dexter Freebish- A life of Saturdays. I realllly like it, it's good....I dunno, I didn't buy that many cds this year, mostly because I fixed my burner during the summer (I had lots of time on my hands, could you tell?!) and I got DSL, so I could download songs easier. |

3 Colours Red! I remember them. Their song "Beautiful Day" defines 8th grade for me(that's when the song came out). I bought the album way back then, but now it's in storage and I haven't listened to it in ages. I do like it though. |
