FX's "Lights Out" debut takes ratings punch
by James Hibberd Jan 12 2011 FX’s new boxing series didn’t deliver a knockout punch in the ratings Tuesday night, and instead took a few body blows from Nielsen (and the fighting puns will stop …. now). Looks like only 1.5 million viewers (793,000 million adults 18-49) watched the series premiere, which not only is far cry from the mega opening of last year’s "Justified" (4.2 million), but also was on par with the now-deceased "Terriers" (1.6 million). Though "Lights" did edge out "Terriers" by 17% in the adult demo. http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/01/12/fx...ratings-punch/ |

FX Cancels "Lights Out"
by Chris Harnick posted Mar 24th 2011 FX has KO'ed its freshman boxing drama "Lights Out", Entertainment Weekly reports. The series debuted in January to 1.5 million viewers, but numbers declined steadily. The March 22 episode was seen by just under 700,000 viewers. "Lights Out" received generally favorable reviews and FX gave the series a good amount of publicity, but the show failed to grab an audience in the competitive Tuesday 10PM time slot. "Lights Out" joins critically acclaimed one-season-wonder "Terriers" in FX's canceled shows graveyard. http://www.tvsquad.com/2011/03/24/fx...ls-lights-out/ |
