Anthony Santa Croce, producer of USA's "Monk," died of a heart attack Dec. 11 in Cleveland. He was 63.

Santa Croce's early work in the entertainment industry included stints as a stuntman and sound mixer.

A graduate of the American Film Institute, he turned to line producing in the early 1980s and also worked as a unit production manager. In a career that spanned more than 35 years, he produced "Monk" as well as HBO's "Carnivale," pilots including those for "The Twilight Zone" remake and "Felicity," as well as series including "The War Next Door," "Profiler" and "Tales From the Dark Side."

His feature credits included "Tremors 3" and "You Can't Hurry Love."

Survivors include his fiance, Kathryn Pankratz; two sons; two brothers; and a sister.

Donations may be made to the American Film Institute/Anthony Santa Croce Scholarship Fund, 2021 N. Western Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90027. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday in the Paramount Theater at Paramount Studios, 5555 Melrose Ave.
