Bewitched Replaced BY The Nanny!!! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I saw on my cable box earlier that "Bewitched" episodes Mon-Fri will be replaced with "The Nanny"! Agh!

And they just brought it back a couple months ago!

I presume you mean TVLand.Well,that's TVLand for you.One minute,they bring a show back(like "Bewitched",or some other real classic 1960'sTV show,and yes,I know classic TV is in they eye of the beholder,so please,do NOT go there),and then cancel it .Well,anyway,if you can get WGN America,it's still on there(but not,unfortunately,the black and white gems).

But they only show it once (which at least they show it).

Well, it doesn't affect me much because I have the show on DVD.

But on a serious note, they really do need to stop. I may be satisfied if they edit things out of The Nanny the way they edit Bewitched...

For now Bewitched still has its weekend blocks (2-4PM) on TVland.

I wonder if a second TV Land channel, devoted entirely to shows from the 50's to the 70's, might work? The TV Land currently on seems to be increasingly focused on "newer" classics (is that an oxymoron, or what?) like Rosanne, the Nanny, the Cosby Show, etc, so maybe the only way to ensure that those revered older shows have a chance is to create an entire channel for them?
