I've seen a couple of photos of her and she had a cigarette in her hand, but I don't think I've ever seen her smoke onscreen. Did she smoke during the years in which Bewitched was filmed?

If she was a smoker, did she quit before she passed?

Yes, she smoked during those years (and in the episode "That Was My Wife"). There was a Hollywood Squares or a Password episode where she announced she quit smoking (not sure which, or if it lasted).

Arfies, that's right, I forgot about that early episode where she was wearing the brunette wig and she held a cigarette.

just about everyone back then smoked.
