Melora Hardin Drops A Big Bombshell About Michael Scott's Departure From 'The Office'

Melora Hardin has dropped hints about how Steve Carell's character Michael Scott leaves The Office.

In an episode of the show's second season, the staff at Dunder Mifflin discovered a movie script written by Michael.

Hardin, who plays Jan, has now revealed that the movie will start to be made.

"Michael finally finishes the screenplay and makes the movie he has always threatened to finish - and I'm in the movie!" she told TV Guide. "The title of the episode is 'Threat Midnight', which is the title of his screenplay."

She added: "Obviously there's lots of mystery in the episode. We're all playing characters in his movie and Jan's character, Jasmine, uncovers a little piece of the puzzle that's important to the plot unfolding."

Asked whether the news will mean Michael leaves Scranton for Hollywood, Hardin replied: "Yeah, I think so."
