Default Pretty Little Liars Episode 12 Review

Alright, so tonight's episode gave us a little of everything. Like last week's episode, it offered more questions than answers. Many hints and interesting things happened. So, to pick up from last week:

*Hanna returns home from the hospital and discovers the money her mom stole in a box of lasagna while trying to use her crutches to take a box of Pop Tarts from a high shelf (loved her line about wanting a Pop-Tart LOL)

*Message from A inside the pasta box VERY strange. Normally, A has only seemed to know info about the girls or people from school but now it seems she/he knows about the parents' actions too.

*Hanna tells her mom that she knows and her mom reassures her that she's going to repay it all back by the end of the year. Mom was in a pretty crappy mood throughout the episode with many snide remarks

*Aria didn't play much of a role in this episode it seemed. She tells Fitz that it was Noel and he is worried about that. Jenna then pops in to ask Fitz to sign a form and suspiciously says "sorry for interrupting." Um, you're blind. How did you see her there?

*Noel proceeds to blackmail Fitz now that he knows about his relationship with Aria, demanding a higher grade on his term paper. Then, when Aria confronts him about this, Noel makes Fitz look like the bad guy.

*Emily has Maya over for dinner and nothing much happens there except towards the end when Emily's obnoxious mother says she doesn't approve of her lesbianism - it makes her "sick to her stomach."

*Alex and Spencer get into a fight when he suspects Spencer to have electronically registered him for a tennis tournament. Spencer suspects it is A's doing and now wonders how to explain this all to Alex who obviously (unless he's A) has no idea about any of this.

*Mona throws a party for Hanna to welcome her back from the hospital. Noel, Sean, Lucas, and the girls are there.

*The girls all suspiciously stare at Noel many times and Aria confronts him, as previously mentioned. He says something that may be relevatory along the lines of "didn't you once work hard on something and expect more?" in response to Aria.

*Lucas gets drunk and almost gets into a fight with Sean and is broken up by Noel, of course. Hanna, talking to him outside, asks him what's up with him and he starts screaming about how Alison and the girls think they're higher up than other people and admits to destroying Alison's memorial (which explains the muddy shoes) - he can't look at something glorifying someone as evil as Alison. She made fun of him or whatever, but there has to be more to it than that. He's uber pissed here.

*Toby returns from jail, getting out on bail. Emily sees him on his porch and tells him that she didn't rat him out to the cops. Jenna comes outside once Emily leaves and admits that it was her (Jenna) who told the cops. Toby is under house-arrest. Jenna clearly still has feelings for Toby, who says he will never "touch her like that again."

*Spencer is at home and surrounded by all of Melissa and Ian's boxes as the prepare for their married life. She sees a tag on a piece of Ian's luggage indicating that he stayed at Hilton in South Carolina which leads to a flashback of Ali returning from her "Grandma's" on the afternoon before their sleepover that night where she would go on to be murdered. She has the same Hilton tag on her luggage providing probably the largest clue of the night.

*The other flashback was during the party when it flashes back to how Alison got a girl to break up with Noel but she says something suspicious about only needing to kill when she has to, or something along those lines.

*Episode ends with the money being stolen from Hanna's house and a message from A saying they can get the money back - but only IF they do what he/she wants. Then we see the money being deposited into some sort of toy clown.

MOST LIKELY TO BE KILLER: Right now, all signs point to Ian. But in episode 3 or 4, all signs pointed to Toby and we know how that turned out. What I mean is that what seems "obvious" probably isn't so. Noel is also suspicious now but it seems like he just wants to get rid of Mr. Fitz and have Aria to himself because he likes her. There's no real indication that he could be A or the killer, or why he would want to do that (except for maybe that little flashback but I'm still doubtful that Noel is A or the killer right now).

MOST LIKELY TO BE A: Melissa is definitely up there. She would have reason to try and destroy Spencer's relationship with Alex by submitting him to the tennis tournament since Spencer ruined her and Wren. Lucas has the technological know-how to accomplish the feat and is clearly angry with them. At first he only mentioned Ali but tonight he labelled them - "you girls." I don't think he'd be angry enough to kill Alison, though. Mona enters the conversation tonight as strange as that seems. She used to be jealous of Alison and probably Hanna's closeness to her and threw the party at her house maybe knowing the money was there - we have to consider her just for throwing that surprise party. I still think the cop could be involved because A just knows way too much and we haven't seen that character for a few episodes and none of the teenagers would know that Hanna's mom stole the money but the cop could maybe know somehow. I don't know, it's weird. How could anyone have found that out?

Overall, this episode helped push the plot forward finding out about Lucas destroying the memorial, Jenna ratting out Toby, and continuing our suspicions about Noel and Ian.

Can't wait for next week!
