Salma Hayek Developing "Wicked" Mini-Series for ABC
Something "Wicked" This Way Comes to ABC: Salma Hayek Developing Miniseries
Jan 10, 2011 by Joyce Eng Salma Hayek and ABC have teamed up to develop an eight-hour miniseries adaptation of "Wicked", Variety reports. The project will not be a musical, but will rather be based on Gregory Maguire's best-seller, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, which spawned the Broadway hit. Erik Jendersen ("Band of Brothers") is writing the script. Hayek, who previously brought "Ugly Betty" to ABC, and her partner, Jose Tamez, will produce through their Ventanarosa Productions. It's unclear if she will also star in the miniseries. http://www.tvguide.com/News/Wicked-M...C-1027493.aspx |
