Reality Star Kim Kardashian Debuts Single 'Turn It Up'

Kim Kardashian made a pretty ambitious New Year's resolution: She wants to be a pop star.


The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star surprised New Year's Eve clubgoers at TAO Las Vegas by taking the stage to announce that she is releasing a single, which was written by The Dream and is tentatively titled "Turn It Up."

She then gave a preview of the song, which is a pretty standard track about the insufficient volume levels in nightclubs.






Prior to her performance, Kardashian tweeted, "2011 is all about trying new things and going for it! I'm starting mine w something fun and crazy! Sneak peaks [sic] coming soon!"

She then tweeted two photos that appear to be from the set of her video — in one, she's wearing a white fur stole with her hair in cornrows (which explains the new 'do); in the other, she's wearing oversized glasses, bright red lipstick and matching tipped bangs.

"I know u c me on the video...TRUE! I know you'll hear me on the radio..." she tweeted, alluding to the Notorious B.I.G. song "Crush On You."
