Heart PAIRINGS TO THE MAX...THE PROFESSOR AND LOVEY

OK--again, we're not suggesting that this is actually happening or not but imagine, if you were to guess how far Lovey and the Professor could possibly go romantically, given whatever they actually display on the show (infidelity to Thurston permitted here--not a factor), where would they end up at most?

If Mr. Howell was out of the picture, I would say go for it. Mrs. Howell's rich and could fund the Professor's research projects.

The Professor was a good catch back then.....I remember watching the show and thinking if I were one of the castaways, I'd definitely want to hut-up with him!

I mean, after all, he was the only one without a roommate... ::ahem::

Cool

I think Lovey is very impressed with the Professor's intelligence and is probably attracted to him but I doubt she would be willing to give up Thurstons millions . Now if there was some way she could be with the Professor and still keep Thurston's money I suspect she would go for it!

The max that I envision is a few dates--very fine--dressed up, very classy and
all with no more than some gallant hand kissing or perhaps a kiss on the
cheek (Professor to Lovey). I have never felt Lovey found him attractive
romantically even though she chose him for the jealousy "date" (but I
may be stupid). I can see them, though, appreciating each other's looking
attractive and well-dressed for the evening(s) and the various pleasantries
of the equivalent of dining in a fine restaurant or some classy dancing,
perhaps. Plus, they do both have a sense of humor. It would be sort of
like havng a nice prom date for the evening, enjoying the role and the
elegant trappings, having a pleasant time, but not having particular
romantic feelings for the person. Interestingly, to me, Lovey doesn't
seem that cougarish when paired with the Professor, perhaps because he
acts so maturely and she can be very fun and ditzy.

Thanks for all your answers so far and for playing this perhaps unusual game.

I think old grouch has a point here. Mrs. Howell was young once, and the Professor acts older than his years although he has tons of devilish charm. I could see a fun, flirty thing going on for years without it getting too serious on either side. Whoa mama.
