Rock-and-roll legend Chuck Berry left the stage during a concert in Chicago after falling ill, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Berry, 84, slumped over onto the keyboard at the Congress Theater on Saturday night. After being checked by medical personnel, Berry attempted to resume the show, but was unable to continue.

Berry declined to go to the hospital, signing a medical release form before exiting the theater.

Well, if he decided to retire at age 84 I don't think anyone would think the lesser of him. I'll probably be lucky to be ALIVE at that age, let alone still working (though the way the economy is going, I may not have much choice!).
