Default How would have spike and chachi gotten along on the show

How would have spike and chachi gotten along on the show if spike was still on there, i think they would have done ok, i thought that in the eairler episodes they would kind of bring spike back and give him a few lines i guess chachi was much better

I don't know how they would have gotten along, but one of the worst decisions the producers of Happy Days made is when they cast Scott Baio.He added nothing to the show and actually made the show worse. It would have been much better had they cast the actor that played Spike instead,he was actually funny.

Spike would have made fun of Chachi's 1970's feathered hair.

I actually feel the almost exact opposite. I really hated the Spike character. Chachi certainly wasn't my favorite character, but he didn't bother me too much.

I agree. I think Spike was not likeable at all. Not suprised they swtiched him out for Chachi.

CHACHI AND SPIKE

"The character of Charles 'Chachi' Arcola (portrayed by Scott Baio)
was partly designed to replace The Fonz's other young cousin
Raymond 'Spike' Fonzarelli (played by Danny Butch)
who occasionally appeared in previous episodes of 'Happy Days'
but never caught loyal viewers' attention like Chachi inevitably would."

( The Scott Baio Fan Blog, www.wordpress.com )

The historic failure of little Spike as a TV sitcom character on "Happy Days"
is very similar to and highly reminiscent of that forgotten girl who was brought in
to play the look-alike and sound-alike niece of Fran Fine (Fran Drescher)
as well as the younger version of her via flashbacks during a few episodes of "The Nanny".

Both little Spike and "the little nanny" ultimately did not work at all
and promptly got written out of their respective shows.

Scott Baio, on the other hand, was successfully cast in the role of
Chachi Arcola on "Happy Days" by series creator Gary Marshall in 1977.

And the rest is pop culture television history.
Live with it, pathetic Chachi-haters.

However, one thing must also be duly noted:
It is a pity that "Happy Days" missed a great opportunity
to combine and team-up both Scott Baio and Danny Butch
in even a single episode of the hit series.
The big question remains unanswered -
How would Chachi and Spike have interacted and gotten along??

Possibly, a lot like mischievous Adam (Alexander Polinsky)
and juvenile delinquent Anthony (Justin Whalin)
on Scott Baio's later cult family sitcom "Charles-In-Charge".

I think why they got rid of Spike and created the Chachi character, was that Spike was emulating Fonzie, right down to dressing just like him. This wouldn't have worked as the charcter got older, he'd have to stop dressing and imitating the Fonz when he was an older teenager, then he wouldn't really be the same character.

I liked Chachi's character a lot more when he was older (and his voice changed LOL). They developed him a lot more, when he was first on it was just mostly the "wah wah wah" one-liners, which weren't all that funny.
