Default What's Your Favorite Season?

I thought it would be interesting to start a poll on this.

What's your favorite season?

Mine is Season 2.
Season 1 is also good but it got a tad bit slow at times because the show was just starting to develop. Though it did have a lot of excellent episodes. But Season 2 is where it really took off. A lot of hilarious episodes one after the other. Seasons 3-5 were also good but it was slowly going downhill. They were still good seasons with a lot of memorable episodes, but they weren't as good as the first 2 mainly due to Dick York's health failing and missing episodes. I just thought the first 2 seasons were the most creative. And of course, Seasons 6-8 are no match for the first 5 seasons and I don't think I have to give an explanation for that.

Season 1. I loved the newlywed angle.

I liked the Seasons that had Aunt Clara the best. But in general the first five. (S#1 did have that charming Xmas ep where Sam revealed her identity - which she almost never did)

Season 4 is my favorite.
I love 'Hippie Hippie Hooray', 'How Green Was My Grass', 'Business, Italian Style' and of course 'My, What Big Ears You Have'!

Wow! Looks like Season 1 is winning. Season 1, in my opinion, was good but it was a bit too much on the romantic side. But it does have some of the BEST episodes like Abner Kadabra, Cousin Edgar, and Eat at Marios.

But I prefer Season 2 because things got a bit more crazier and I found myself laughing more. I absolutely love the episodes, especially Disappearing Samantha, Follow That Witch and Divided He Falls. Plus Paul Lynde starts his role as Uncle Arthur.

Having to choose just one season, I voted for season 2----everyone had found their stride with their characters-------most of the episodes were really strong, which is really saying something in a season with 38 episodes. Even at that time 30-32 was more usual for a show....and by 1968 or 1969 it was more like 26.

Not forced to choose one season, I vote for seasons 1-4 as the strongest. Who knows, maybe without DY's problems in season 5 I might have included that one too. I like a number of the DS episodes, but the show was starting to wind down by the time he was hired.

I think they should have pulled the plug after season 7. I bought season 8 to get the whole series....and I even like some of the eps......but, in hindsight, it was on life-support at that point.

Regarding season 4 I am surprised no one has yet to mention one of the best and funniest of the season - and the series for that matter - entitled "Double, Double, Toil and Trouble" in which Serena impersonates Samantha. This episode includes many classic and hysterically funny scenes such as Serena (posed as Samantha) kissing Larry passionately on the lips (and asking, "Are your eyes hazel or grey, HARRY?"), dressed as in a mod, swinging, outfit telling Darrin she is through with this dull life, she wants to "get out and boil," changing into a frumpy house wife with curlers and a blacked out tooth, and the hilarious pie fight at the end in which Endora gets slammed in the face with a pie thrown by Darrin!

Season 2 definitely has some absolutely comedic gems - Dick York should've won an Emmy for "Divided He Falls" and "A Very Special Delivery" alone. Genius!! My favorite of the Halloween episodes, "Trick or Treat", is from Season 2, and yes, Paul Lynde's first appearance as Uncle Arthur is golden. "The Magic Cabin" is great, as is "Double Split" (where Sam ruins Darrin's job interview at a rival agency by twitching him into speaking baby talk - PRICELESS!!).

Last but not least, one of my all-time favorite episodes from the entire series is from S2 - "Speak the Truth". I watched it with a bunch of friends once and we were all in hysterics. I love every single minute of it!!

I voted for season 2. I really like the first 3 seasons (even though I love all of them - no matter who plays Darrin ).

The first 3 seasons are great because we get to see Sam and Darrin's relationship from the very beginning. Then in the second season, Sam is pregnant and later has Tabitha. And in third season, Tabitha is a toddler and we get to see her using her powers. I think my favorite episodes are the first 2 from the third season. Tabitha is the most adorable toddler ever.
