When "The Simpsons" returns with its first new episode of 2011 on January 16, it’s about to get a helluva lot better for the citizens of Springfield.

Not only do Kristen Wiig and Alyson Hannigan drop by as a mother daughter duo that sweeps Principal Skinner, and to a lesser extent, Bart off of their feet.

But Smithers (alongside Grady, voiced by special guest star Scott Thompson) will give Moe a much-needed lesson in acceptance when they help transform his dingy pub into “Mo’s,” Springfield’s new local gay hangout.
