Except for a couple of nights each, they both kind of sucked in my opinion. But I would have to give CBS 1986 the edge mainly for its Sunday and Monday night lineups which I loved from beginning to end.
ABC 1983 didn't really have any nights where I liked the whole lineup. Just hits and misses here and there. |

ABC 1983 - better roster of shows, especially on Sunday, Monday, and Friday.
CBS 1986 - This year setup the blueprint of the beginning of what would start the penultimate beginning of CBS's own losing streak 2 years later. Magnum and the Simon Bros. drifted apart from each into different nights and timeslots, plus their ratings declined. This season also marked the beginning of Dallas's declination, following the previous season. |

My vote went to CBS 1986, but it was a near tie with ABC.
