Matt LeBlanc 'Doesn't Want Friends Reunion' - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Matt LeBlanc has admitted that he is against the idea of a Friends TV reunion.

The actor - who played Joey Tribbiani on the popular US sitcom - said that he is still friends with all of his former castmates but that resurrecting the show would be "almost sad".

LeBlanc told WENN: "Friends was this magical, cool thing, like lightning in a bottle, and I feel super fortunate to have been part of it."

On the idea of a reunion, he said: "What would the story be? We all get together and what? Have coffee? It would be almost sad. It's better to just imagine what those characters are doing now."

LeBlanc will next be seen in the Showtime series Episodes.

I agree with LeBlanc. Some things are better left in the past.

All a reunion does is remind you that the actors/characters are older and they usually are disappointing in the story dept.

I'd rather just watch the classic episodes and remember the show when it was in its' prime.

That was so well said! And if anyone wishes the show would continue, there's always fan fiction. That way you can use your imagination!

But apparently, Matt has changed his mind: He recently said he wouldn't mind doing a Friends reunion because he could use the money.

And if anyone wants evidence of why reunions usually don't work, I'd point them to an Odd Couple reunion TV-movie that aired in the '90s where they incorporated Jack Klugman's real-life throat problems into the script. Depressing as all get out.
