Starting January 3rd, Maude is back on canadian network DejaView.
Beginning with "Vivian's First Funeral".

I have a bootleg set someone made from DejaView's first cycle of Maude (Seasons 2-5). While the picture quality was outstanding, they are cut and some of the best scenes are missing.

Syndicators always found it an easy edit to trim Bea's reactions since they could do so without affecting the plot, but many times those pregnant pauses were the funniest part of the episode (i.e. the shot of Walter and Maude silently standing there when Vivian opens the door clad in saran wrap was severely edited).

I hope the new Antenna-TV channel runs them uncut and someone makes a set out of those.

oddly enough, Dejaview and Tv Land cut different scenes from the episodes.

That happens with editing sometimes. Maude is also on AntennaTV here in the US from 6pm to 7pm nightly. Thank God since Sony has given up on Maude as it has been 5 years now since we had Season One out on dvd.

To bring this thread up to date, DejaView definatly edits Maude s5-6, but I think seasons 2-4 are time-compressed. I compared "Walters Problem" with an airing from Antenna TV, and the episode from DejaView was definatly running faster, not so much its noticable but clearly faster.
