Default Split screens vs. voice-overs

Which do you hate more: split-screens or voice-overs over the closing credits of a tv show.

I think split-screens are worse because you can't see the credits real well.

Ditto! I feel that you interrupt enough of the show, you can't let me see and hear the credits. It's too much really. I'm sure you could commericial enough of it during the broadcast, leave the credits alone. I'd like to see who guest starred on the show, and if I liked the theme song I'd like to hear it too.

If someone forced me to pick, I'd go with split screens. At least with voiceovers you can see the credits. Try watching the credits on Sci-Fi. They squish them so bad it's pointless.

"Voice-overs" are annoying, but as others have said, at least you can still read the credits. It drives me crazy when they shrink the credits just so they can squeeze in a promo for another show. It's especially maddening when you're watching an older show, and you think you spot someone in a bit part who is well known now. Of course, just as the credits start, they go to a split screen and you never do find out who the person was.

I would think that the Screen Actor's Guild, or some similar organization, would lodge a protest against this practice. After all, the performers deserve to be given appropriate recognition for their efforts.

Default I hate Split Screens the most

I hate split screens the most. You could barely see the credits on the screen as well as not being able to listen to the closing theme song. It drives me nuts. Voice-overs are not that bad compared to the split screens bacause you are able to see the credits and as well as listen to part of the closing theme song.

I know this is a really old thread, but I hate BOTH! I hate split screens the most, but on some networks, they do voiceovers during closing scenes(while the credits roll) like Oxygen does with Roseanne and N@N does some. But I hate BOTH! I hate how the networks get to advertise more of their stupid programming. They already get 8 to 9 minutes during the show to do that.

Whoever came up with the split screen thing ought to be tarred and feathered!

I agree. I absolutely HATE split credits, ESPECIALLY, when it involves cutting out scenes that roll during the credits(like with many sitcoms)

At least when there is a voiceover you can still see the credits in the way they were supposed to be aired.

I watch the network Goodtv and they don't split screen or voice over. A year ago I taped the opening and closing credits of the Warner Brother westerns. . The closing credits a song is sung about the show and it so nice not to squish up the screen and have a bloke yak over the song. I like that network. Maybe the FBI, a show on good tv could look into the situation
